For those of you that shoot the Monthly PBR at WEGC here are some pictures of the wash and parts of the road leading into the club. The worst of the damage is right around the corner once you pass Lytle Creek itself which is running anywhere from 2'-3' feet deep at various parts and at various times depending on the volume of water released up stream. The WEGC Board recommends at this time not to cross the creek or road to the club due to the road conditions and for personal safety. However, for those club members that choose to go up there and have the type of vehicle (4WD) that can traverse the rough road conditions, please be aware that conditions can change at any time and your personal safety is most important, please keep that in mind.
The Board is currently looking at many options which are the most economical and reasonable to get a functional road to the club so we can open back up for normal operations asap. For the most part the range is in good shape, however there are parts that have road and range damage due to the past storm. Please keep in mind we are just starting the wet season in California, more rain will come.
Be safe,
FYI, Mark Archuleta WEGC/PBR Match Director
