I'll be at the park and ride in the morning.
We will have another truck that should have lots of room for an ez-up to be thrown into it.

Thanks too all the guys that put so much work into making today a lot of fun. Sorry I couldn't stay longer, I really would have liked to take a few cracks at that 1000 yard steel, maybe next time.
Thanks especially to all the guys that went out of their way to help re-zero my scope after I needed to re-position it. I know things slowed down due to zeroing issues, I'll buy each of you a beer/drink next time we get a chance to drink while not handling rifles.
Outstanding clinic, answered a ton of my questions and offered a lot of great advice.
Thanks again.

I hope you guys feel more comfortable with what this is all about and won't be scared to start coming to more events and maybe even some matches soon!!

We stopped at Brad's and picked up the new steel.
Now we have two sets of steel for Angeles matches so we can run 2 people at the same time on separate sets of steel.
That should knock down the lag time on single shooter stages.
We forgot the two stands that you welded up and left them setup with the 100yd target.
Ryan needs to run down there tomorrow and retrieve them.

I had a great time. Have to work on my DOPE more though. Zeroing to 100 went a lot easier and quicker for me than I thought....after that though I was having trouble trying to find the correct DOPE for the 450....
On the plus side, since I finished getting my zero somewhat quickly, I was able to have a small amount of time to take some pictures(22 of them I think). The pictures are all about 1.5 to 2 MB each so if anyone knows an easy way to make the file size smaller so I can post them on here that would be great.
Thanks everyone for your tips and guidance. It's definitely something I want to continue and get better at.
Gnzrme.....tell your wife the potato salad was excellent and I think was a big hit.

Put all the pictures in a folder.
In windows xp (and later), you can right-click a file and send to > mail recipient and windows will give you the option to re-size the images.
I use that tool to re-size images in bulk as follows:
Create an empty folder for the re-sized images.
Jump back to the large images folder and select all the images to re-size.
Right-click > Send to > Mail recipient.
A prompt will pop up asking you if you want to make the images smaller or keep the original size.
At the bottom is "show more options" where you can select from small, medium or large. (use medium)
Hit OK and a new email will be created with all the re-sized images attached.
If you get a prompt about creating a photo email, do NOT create a photo email.
Copy all the images from the attachment pane of that email.
Paste them into the empty folder you created earlier.
Upload those re-sized images to photobucket and post them here.

It was a great day. Thanks to everyone for their advice. It was great to meet all of you. I learned a lot...
I learned that all I need now is a 20moa base, some new glass with a mil dot reticle, a fully bedded stock and a bipod that swivels.

Seriously it was a lot of fun and I look forward to the next one. hopefully with some upgrades, like a super sniper 20x and HS stock.

BIG NEGATIVE ! why you wanna buy one for cheap ?

It was hard to find the targets, once i found them its was good.
This weekend is going to cost me like 4K hahahaha My equipment is okay for what it is but not for what i intend to do. THANKS RANDELL !!!

I own one and if I could do it over again I wouldnt have done it anything inside of 200 yards is kind of a pain to find and I shoot with both eyes open. I'm currently saving up for a good variable powered scope.

Ok thanks for the info on the SS. I think that the base will help. I couldn't get out to 1k with my Redfield but I was happy with it until I maxed it out. I'll hold off on the glass for a while. At least until i get in some more trigger time. For my first time ever shooting a bolt gun I had a blast. I'm hooked! Nathan send me a PM on your stock. I'm interested.

The problem about going to these monthly practice shoots is that everytime you leave you're gonna wanna buy more and more stuff. I'm definitely guilty of that!!! Hahaha...

And wait until you go to course A and B practice with everyone and their custom rigs.
