				CaPRC Marksmanship Clinic C 7-14-13

				by AR15barrels
Come on out and join us at Angeles for our positional clinic on Sunday July 14th.
We will start out with checking your 100yd zero.
We will teach the traditional seated, kneeling and prone positions including proper sling usage.
Then we will work on improvised shooting positions such as shooting from barricades, vehicles and other various props.
Experienced club members will be on hand to help new shooters.
Costs are $75 for non members or $60 for club members.
Cold drinks and BBQ will be provided as part of the entry/range fee for the day.
This clinic will be held at the Fort Angeles range which is just west of the main rifle line at the Angeles Ranges.
Please show up before 8:30am to get signed in.
Some things to bring:
Precision rifle, sling, eye/ear protection, sunscreen, chamber flag, 60 rounds of match quality ammo, shooting mat or blanket, bipod, some kind of rear bag or sand sock, small notepad to take notes, pencil or pen and a backpack or bag to shoot over.
Bring what you have, don't worry too much about what you don't have.
We always make do with what we have.
This is a Precision Rifle event so if the gun/scope/ammo is not capable of shooting tight groups, it will detract from your overall experience at the shoot.
Please have your rifle zeroed at 100yds and your knobs set to zero.
If you need help with this, we can do it at the shoot, but it takes time that is better spent putting rounds on targets.
We will limit this shoot to 20 people so we can finish up by 2pm if possible as it will be a hot day!
Please RSVP in this thread if you plan to attend.
Member RSVPs will be accepted after July 1st at noon.
Non-Member RSVPs will be accepted after July 8th at noon
When you RSVP please post something very definite in this thread such as "I will be there".
The following people are on the schedule as shooters:
Downrange67
Fumbles
Treadstone
jawcn
Don Vito
The following people will coach and run the line:
AR15barrels
snappy
autoessentials

I know this is a dumb question, but is it advisable to not go to the C-clinic if you haven't gone to the A or B one?

No, I did not... Is this a problem? If so I understand. How then should I go about learning how to begin shooting?

2 ways
1) Sign up for the next A clinic.
2) Read as much as you can here and practice what you read. When you think you have the fundamentals down sign up for a match.
If you try the second way talk to people at the match and let them know its your first match. Most people enjoy helping new people at the matches.

You should be fine. Just make sure you have 100 yd zero and the proper gear.

Clinic A is a Pre-requisite for B, C & D.
We teach B, C & D with the understanding that you are building on what was taught in A.
Without A, you will not learn as much from the three later clinics.
