WEGC Precision Bolt Match April 18th

Post by Spaniard »

Hey Men,
Next Sunday April 18th, Precision Bolt Match at WEGC. Bring 60 rounds to be safe, start time is 0800. Please let me know who's coming and please be prompt. If you are coming to help set up, show up at the gate at 0630.

Semi-Auto's are welcome, $20.00 Per entry.

I have more steel to put out and a steel KYL, maybe two in fact. We will be starting at the 200 yard line.

Where's the range located and what yardage does the range go to? Will it be paper and steel targets?

Range goes out to 600yds and is located off the 15fwy and Sierra just above Rancho/Ontario

Exit Sierra going northbound on the 15 freeway. Take a left and go until you see a sign for West End Gun Club on the right. Turn off the rooad and take the dirt road through the wash and for about another mile until you come to a yellow gate. Wait till someone lets you in. We usually shoot steel and paper. There is always a paper CBS in the morning. Also, no rear bags allowed but shooting gloves are allowed.

Great thanks for the info, let me see if I can make it or not. Gnarly no bag, that's cool though, I really need a glove as well.

I just got a email recently from creedmore sports and I believe they are having a sale on shooting gloves right now.

EDIT: Yeah, i just checked, normally $34 on sale for $25. Get the open finger one. I actually use the brown NRA high power one and like it alot but its not on sale and is $28.

Also, if you dont have a glove he lets you wrap a shemaug or rag around your hand is if you want to for some extra support.

YOu could always use an old hockey glove, boxing glove, or wrap your hand up with farbic of some sort, untill you get a shooting glove.

I remember someone talking one time about just gettig a fabric glove and sewing a rearbag to it. That might count as a glove.

Had a great time as usual. Thanks Mark for putting on a good shoot.

Lesson One: RO says shoot left to right, don't practice right to left or you'll f-up.
Lesson Two: Check DA more often. .3 mil makes a difference at 540yds when it heats up.
Lesson Three: Practice un-supported in the rear.

Hello All,

Great to see a large group out shooting. I had a great time. MY two lessons of the day "remember to zero your turrets" and "don't shoot matches with knelling stages".

See you all next month.
