Jason and I shot the match. Only the first stage was shot from prone. We spent the rest of the match moving around from location to location. I ended up coming in second.

Some stages had no par times. I just counted my rounds and I went threw 35. It was challenging. Lots of transitions, and field shooting. Last stage was at 573 yards and 500 yards off a tripod, 6 rounds in 1 minute. The one thing is that before the match everyone gets to verify there zero and make corrections if needed.

I can never remember to shot photo or video.

Hopefully Jason will be around to give his input on the match.

Thanks to Keith and Michael for running the match. Pala is a great facility. They have 5x’s as much steel as ASR and as far out as 887 yds. from the line and 950 if they utilize the rear boundary of the parking lot (from what I understand is done from time to time). Interestingly, their berms are place at unconventional distances such as 221, 316, 412, 480, 536 and so on.

The match consisted of 6 stages and round count of 21. The first two stages were shot prone, from the line with generous amounts of par time. From there, we moved forward out on to the 100 yd. berm and fired 3 rounds (no par time) prone from the top of the berm. Moved to the 320 line and shot 3 more rounds seated, kneeling and prone (no par time). Next stage was 3 rounds, weak hand, kneeling off of a dumpster (no par time). Final stage consisted of 6 shots off a tripod, standing at 550 and 500 yd. steel (60 sec. par time).

Sorry guys, no pictures or video.

Sounds like it could be fun, but that is a pretty low round count. It should be at least double that round count for a drive of that length for me. I would be interested in seeing their facility at the very least.

We do get to stay after the match and shoot out to 800 so that is a plus. Is nice to be able to shot somethign like this and not need a bunch of ammo.
