Rimfire match or positional/props practice day 2/1/15
We have the Eagles Nest "D" range reserved for February 1st.
Would you guys rather have a rimfire match or a positional practice day?

Rimfire match or positional/props practice day 2/1/15
Are we no longer allowed to shoot centerfire out onto The main range?

Sure, when we can get the B range.evo wrote:Are we no longer allowed to shoot centerfire out onto The main range?
There were all of 2 days available for B range and I booked them both.
We have B range Feb 15th where we can shoot off the edge across the range.

Cool. My little girl's first Bday is the first so I'll defer to the rest of you as to how you want to use it.

Then vote for a rimfire match.buffybuster wrote:I wouldn't mind shooting off props with my 22lr.....
We always have props in the rimfire match.
We have the "B" range for a centerfire props day just 2 weeks later.

Positional props practice day would be excellent if I can go that day.

I voted for positional right away by the way, and plan to be there. The thing with matches is that 90 seconds on a prop one during the match day isn't enough to really figure out how to build a stable position quickly. And something like the tank trap can be pointed in different ways, making the optimum position different depending on how it sits.

every time I have seen a tank trap used, you were not allowed to move it...thegiff wrote:I voted for positional right away by the way, and plan to be there. Sometimes allowed to move a trap but usually not. Re: training with it, it can be placed in better or worse positions, so I built my own to be able to practice with a bunch of times because my setup on it changes depending on how it was placed.

Is it 5ft long pieces of 4x4 to make a similar tank trap to what most matches use?thegiff wrote:Sometimes allowed to move a trap but usually not. It's surprisingly smaller/lower than I was expecting.
