In to shoot! And help out. We'll see if bro decides to come, he rocking a new rifle thanks to Henry S. so now he has something that works!

FYI need a change in COF, I loaned my hog saddle to Solo for his match the same weekend. I've wanted to shoot "barrel on a wire" so I built two today. Bushnell Brawl in Texas had this on a stage, but only one shot. Target was a 1" dot at 100yd.

COF I'm thinking for this should be a smallish target at 100yd or so. Prone, barrel and weight of rifle rests on the wire, rear support OK, no front support allowed.

Rifles Only teaches that.
If I recall correctly, it's usually around 1/2 mil of elevation correction that you need to hold for a 100yd target.

Confirm 1/2mil is what I recall occuring. Generally your POI is about 1/2 mil above your POA.

But instead of everyone having their own wire, we should shoot all off the same wire at the same time, just to mess with everyone.

A barrel resting on a wire gets bent upwards.
You have to hold UNDER the target.

Try it yourself as every gun will have a DIFFERENT amount of deflection.
This is a good thing to know BEFORE you end up somewhere that you need to do it...

Also depends on where the barrel is rested on the wire. Out at the tip or near the stock or somewhere in between. And if you pull down or lift up on the rifle at all.

I'm thinking of using a rubber band and wrap it on a spot marked on the barrel to use as a reference position. Similar to a nock point in archery. Also I suspect better to be closer to the stock than farther but I'm not 100% sure. And, not allowed for the wire to touch the stock, barrel only!

Steven why do you always post 2 sig lines?

We're going to try to make this a quick match guys. No moving to different pads and 6 stages. It's hot and i don't really feel like playing circus ring leader all day tomorrow.
No mover either. Nobody is gonna wanna set that thing up or take it down.

He probably has one configured in the forum software and another one configured in Tapatalk on his phone.
Tapatalk signatures get appended to the message body when tapatalk submits the text to the caprc web server.
The forum software inserts his signature into his post each time the thread gets loaded.
The signature from the web server should be dynamic and should change as you change your signature file within the forum software since it is inserted each time FROM the signature file that a user saves.
