Getting into PRS

Post by Zbar3365 »

Is there anyone who can help me get into some PRS events in Southern California? I'm in the military stationed at Fort Irwin and unfamiliar with locations, dates and equipment needed. I have shot a few sniper comps including last years ISC. I just picked up a masterpiece arms 6.5 creedmoor so I have a rifle covered but I'm not sure if a pistol is needed if so I left them all in Idaho as pistol laws in California are a bit sketchy to me. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

I don't think we have any PRS matches scheduled in Socal this yr. Your best bet is to shoot monthly matches. The two locations near you are hosted by SCPRT and Sin City (out in Vegas). Local matches usually require 70-90 rounds. Your 6.5 creedmoor will be perfect.

SCPRT has their monthlies ever 3 Sunday of the month (located near the 210/15 fwy). More info can be found here. http://www.socalprecisionforum.com/view ... 13c755144f" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Sin City Precision has matches on the 1st Saturday of the month. If you're on FB look up Sin City.

There are no PRS sanctioned matches in So-Cal.
There are PRS STYLE matches though.
CAPRC puts on matches every other month at Angeles on the 2nd Saturday of the month.
God shoots a Remington 700, drives a Chevy Truck and carries a Glock 19.
I don't do any of those things.
