I tried to buy a chamber flag at Angeles and they didn't have any. I also check Turners in Pasadena. Also didn't have any. So I took a fired case and drilled through the spent primer and fed yellow wire through it with knots on either end of the hole in the case. Will this be sufficient? Or do I have to have an actual flag hanging off the end of it?

I don't think the RO's will like anything resembling a ammunition in the chamber while people are down the line. I'll take you one you can have.

Cool. I'd appreciate that. I got the idea from the dude at the reloading store at Angeles. He said the plastic can sometime melt if the chamber is hot.

The chamber in a bolt action will never get that hot.....

I'm escaping from Alcatraz tomorrow and heading up to check out the match and get my rifle zeroed. Looking forward to meeting everybody, sounds like there will be a pretty big crowd.
