WEGC 3/20 PBR Match-Results

Post by Spaniard »

Well, Clynt and I just got home a little while ago and the phone rang, DUTY CALLS and have to go in. However I wanted to post Final Scores and get in a few pics. We had 8 stages with right around 50 rounds of fire. Good times and happy to be back in the game.

The Big Shooter in the Sky held back the rain until we got under the shade at the 200 M Line and then let loose for a little bit and then stopped. We did fine and the conditions weren't that bad. Those that braved the elements had a good time. While we tabulated scores the group picked up the Steel, thanks for helping out.

Here is the order of finish with us engaging out past the 500 and as close as 75 Yards. Steel & Paper was the mix today.

Order of Finish
1) John Rose - 443 Points: 1st Place Gold (I think John has been practicing and hasn't been telling anyone. A 6.5x47 Helps)
2) Brandon McGaffey - 436 Points: 2nd Place Silver (8 Points to pass J.R.,ouch!)
3) Joe Hernandez - 416 Points: 3rd Place Bronze (Just think Joe, if you got one more target on the speed drill a tie, 2 more was a win)
4) Match Director - me @ 414 Points (I got lucky)
5) Rich Gonzalez - 352 Points (Rich was competing with a .45 ACP, not bad. Thanks for the help today) ;)
6) Sonny Mediana - 344 Points (Sonny, fastest Speed Drill, way to go!)
7) Nathan Webnar - 308 Points (Nate, you had some good stages today and getting better)
8) Steven Rogers - 297 Points (Steve, you beat Snappy, wait where was Brad???)
9) Wayne Kraemer - 157 Points (First Time Out-Come Back again Wayne)

Cold Bores were shooters 1,2,3,5,8 & 9
Fastest 5 Shot Speed Drill was Sonny Mediana with clean score of 100 @ 21.09"
Top .308 was Joe Hernandez

Let me check my schedule.

Mark, will you let me Zero my rifle, after I miss my coldbore?

Oh Grasshopper, how will you ever reach the highest levels of shot placement if you think "Miss" instead of "Hit". Just make the shot.

If you need adjusting that will be fine, as always.

Hey Brad,
Sorry for not getting back with you today. After the delivery, the phone rang and things got real busy. I am sacking out now. Long day and I know you know how those go. Relax this Sunday and enjoy.

I just dropped my barreled action into a different stock and haven't been able to check Zero. I can't put it back into the old stock, since I sold it....

I am confident "I" can make the shot, I just don't know if POA=POI.

Buffy...........Buuuuffy.................Use the Force..........Make the shot.....

Hey it worked for Skywalker, why not try it here?

Bring your rain slicker, it may get a little wet. It's California, you never know it could be warm with a Santa Ana Wind too...

Then on the other hand, civilization may end Saturday night March 19th with the approaching "Supermoon". "They" say we will be as close to the moon as possible with this lunar cycle. Tidal forces, G-Forces, Pressure, Earthquake, etc... :o

Steve
I think Enrique, AKA Henry is going to car pool with me to the match.
If you want to ride with us, be at my house at 0600. The van needs exercise.

Hey Guys,
I guess it rained pretty good up at the range today, it may be a little messy not sure. It didn't rain a drop at my house and I am about 30+ to the South. We are still a go for tomorrow. Probably shoot alot more steel than usual just in case. We will start at the 500 and then move forward. Look sharp, I plan on taking some pictures.

Sorry I missed it. But it was good I stayed home, as it really rained out this way and we had some flooding.
