6079Winston, johnlee, bcrich and NotoriousPDL helped run the line.
Total round count for the day was 50.

Thanks brother!! But nope no rollie for me. I just bought a car on Friday and gave my old man my Accord. I will be taking a serious look at a Omega Planet Ocean or a Moonwatch though... The rollie will have to wait until I win first place in a match. :twisted: Thanks to everyone who made todays match possible and a thank you to you John for buying me lunch. Much appreciated!

Fun match. My stage (stage 6) allowed me to see how competitors acquired targets as well as seeing the difference between holding and dialing. Jose rocked that stage with the highest score. He shoots fast with good accuracy. Keep it up man!

My pics and vids from yesterday are few. I spent a good chunk of the day spotting for Stage 7 so I couldn't take that many pics and vids.

The few pics still aren't up yet, but here are some vids.

Here's Mike on the weak-side pool balls:

Joe on the weak-side pool balls:

Randall on the 300-yard IPSC from pack prone:

Charlie on the same stage:

Mike sitting:

Nathan sitting:

Joe from kneeling:

Keith kneeling:

Randall on the Stage 8 Stressfire stage:

Standing/offhand stage:

Jose on the hot-bore diamond:

Mike on the same stage:

Mike, check out that last video of you on fullscreen mode. I wish the video were sharper, but you can see your left eye fluttering. The fluttering increases in rapidity right before you fire. I think there's tension in your face, which probably means there's tension elsewhere in your body. That video of Randall on the 300-yard pack prone is what I like to see. I like that relaxed concentration that Randall has on his face.

A few more vids are still uploading to YouTube.

Sorry the image is so shitty. I think this Sony has had it. I'm sure you've seen the image go radioactive in the other vids. We might have to get another beater shop camera for the range.

I'm guessing you do. These videos show a lot. I always cringe when I watch the videos that Ho took of me shooting.

In future vids of you shooting, I'll try to remember to take some shots that show your body alignment rather than your watch.

I'm not ruling out flinching, but its more of an issue with my eyesight and glasses. I really need to get a dedicated pair for shooting glasses. In position, I'm looking right through the edge of my lenses, which have some distortion. If I clamp my left eye shut, my right eye also closes just slightly, but enough that I can no longer see. So I end up either shooting with my left eye open, but have to squint it
sometimes to keep my right (dominate) eye focuced on the reticle. It looks like I keep fluttering it, keeping it closed just enough to keep the right eye focused. Defintaly something I need to work on.

PS John: Here is the group I was shooting in your second vid, flinchy eye and all :) :) :)

Have you seen the Decot Hy-Wyd glasses? These are very popular with clay target shooters like Kim Rhode:

http://s5.assets.usoc.org/assets/docume ... 1297373704" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

and practical shooters like Jerry Miculek:

http://www.steelchallenge.com/media/Dow ... ulek-3.jpg" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I always crack up because Jim Land wears the Hy-Wyds as his everyday glasses:

http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm26 ... imLand.jpg" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Check out:

http://www.sportglasses.com/cart/produc ... emples.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

The Hy-Wyds look weirdo, because they're designed for shooting vision rather than to look flattering to the human face in everyday situations. The Hy-Wyds sit tall on the face. With your head erect and looking straight ahead, you would be looking through the bottom of the lenses. With your head tilted forward such as when shooting, you look through the sweet spot of the lenses. The lenses also converge above the nose, so you still look through good parts of the lenses when your head is tilted slightly to the side such as when shooting a long gun. The hooked temples also keep these glasses firmly planted on your face and they don't bounce around. They're excellent shooting glasses.

Another thing that might help you is less tint in your glasses. Your glasses look a little dark to me. I'm not an eye expert, but it seems universally accepted that the less tint you have in your lenses, the smaller your pupil will be and the sharper your focus will be. That's why you see lots of clay target shooters shooting with pink or light red lenses even in sunny conditions.

I have a pair of the Hy-Wyds that you're more than welcome to try out if you like. Only problem might be that my lenses are plano (non-prescription). I don't know if you have contact lenses or not. But if you do, my plano lenses would be a good test drive.
