WEGC-PBR Match Results 7/17

Post by Spaniard »

Hey Men,
We had a fun match today with 14 shooters competing for top shot today. The weather was great and not too hot either.

Here is today's order of finish:
1-Brandon McGaffey-464 Points
2-Keith Nelson-431 Points
3-James Jefferies-418 Points
4-Brad Bolves-412 Points
5-Ray Riganian-401 Points
6-Henry Song-376 Points
7-Brian Leslie-349 Points
8-Scott Cochran-330 Points
9-Steven Rogers-306 Points
10-Rich Gonzalez-292 Points
11-Tyler Schuster-219 Points
12-Mike Baker-20 Points
13-Zach Baker-11 Points
14-Brett "The Viking" Christenson-10 Points (Brett's like "Rocky", you can't keep a good man down, he'll be back next month sluggin it out.)

Top .308 Goes to: Brian Leslie. Good Job Brian.

Fastest Speed Drill goes to: Rich Gonzalez with a perfect score. Rich did not have the fastest time with a 27.78 but he made all his hits and that's what counts in this game at the end of the day. The speed drills if shot clean can get you 300 points total at the SCPRC. Something to think about. ;)

Man vs. Man went to: Keith Nelson. It was a photo finish between Keith and Brad, good job to the both of you.

No matches in August Guys, see you back in September.

Mark

I got an email from west end saying it's about 6'' deep and they did some grading work recently so you should be good, I have driven a camry when it was deeper around 1' and didnt have any problems getting stuck. You should be good to go!

I believe there was work done to the road and at the last board meeting the areas of concern were brought up. Lytle Creek opens up the release of water at will, so it can and does change the water flow in the creek which in turns changes the road profile.

Looks like about dozen people coming, I'll plan for 15.

Anyone interested, we meet up at Denny's at I-15 & Baseline for breakfast between 0530-0545. Check in is around 0730 and we will begin shooting at around 0800. Bring at least 60 rounds to be safe, more never hurts.

See you tomorrow and park below the 500 and walk up. Tomorrow you will have 3 cold bore shots. For those "Cold Bore Purist" out there, just something different and I am well aware the first shot of the day is the actual CB. Trying different things and preparing folks for November.

I'll explain in the morning.

Regards, Mark

Jes, Esteban, I count every point I can jus for ju....However I did like that one call when you were doing Man v Man and hadn't shot the target and the impact report came back: "hey I heard it hit", well you heard a bullet hit the steel, it just wasn't yours. But keep those ideas coming, I like those and may use them if I compete... :P

I added the scores up one more time, yes you did make your first Cold Bore, very good-50 Points. However at the end of the day as much as I tried to stretch and pull all I could add up was 306 points. Believe me, I tried.

Yes they are Keith. I believe you came in a little late or missed the announcements where I mentioned these were the June awards for the match that got cancelled due to being on Father's Day. So I just kept them for July. They didn't go stale best I can tell, but thank you for pointing that out.

I don't hate on the Mouse Gun's brother James, the spotters just have a hard time calling a report on steel or seeing the heavy steel targets move with that 52 Grain Bullet going Mach 4 +. We want to score you as accurately as we can, the mouse gun makes it a little hard to call hits that's all.

For monthly's it's fine, but for the SCPRC 6mm is the minimum as we all know. I like meeses too... ;)

Glad you had a good time.
