Well MV, it was a lame first post, but some of us work for a living! Not like that laid back play time you call "work." Also, I didn't even know about this forum until your email to me regarding this match. Apologies, Randall, Ryan and all.MikeV wrote:

Post tits noob!
Even more lame than my first post will be this one, my 2nd, because I have to drop out of Sunday's match, and give the spot up to someone in line. Between my work schedule and being sick this past week, there's no way I'll be ready to shoot this Sunday.
I will try to properly update my profile on this forum this weekend, however.

Huntnsurf needs to create an account here and post his own RSVP so that I can send out my email announcements concerning the match.CavTrooper wrote:CavTrooper and Huntnsurf are in.

I updated the list to reflect everything posted in the thread to this point and we are at 21 shooters.
I also sent out my wednesday night email asking people to release their RSVP's if they are not going to attend the match on sunday.

Re: CaPRC match at Angeles 7/11/10
You may want to print out a copy of this and bring it with you to the match:
http://www.caprc.com/targets/angeles.pdf" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
If not, you can also make a simple drawing, but that's the key to knowing where the steel plates are.
We will simply refer to them by their color and letter.

Does anybody have extra chamber flags that I could use for Sunday?
Last time I went to Angeles, the office didn't have any and the Reloading Store was closed. I'm planning on getting myself one on Sunday but I wasn't sure they would be open by the time we started.

Re: CaPRC match at Angeles 7/11/10
Finally bought a PodLoc this week so I'm looking forward to being able to control the cant of my rifle this time around I wish I had time this week to have made an optomitrist appoinment. Being able to read the numbers on the target stands would be great haha. At least I have the PDF printout of the target positions for this match which should help.

Re: CaPRC match at Angeles 7/11/10
Well I am furious, absolutely, unequivocally furious. My bank, in their infinite wisdom (aka braindead idiocy) locked my account down yesterday for no reason whatsoever. They also happen to be CLOSED on the weekend to customer support. As such I cannot fill my gas tank nor can I get money out to pay for range fees or food. I am beyond angry. I was so excited about shooting this match and my boneheaded financial institution is keeping MY money from me. This is like the 4th time they have done this (once having ruined a vacation with this BS).
I am truly & sincerely sorry I cannot attend today. I hope someone else showed up as an alternate so that my spot on the line isn't wasted.
I can't believe this ... my SUV is packed, I even loaded up some of my other guns to bring with me to shoot after the match. Outrageous. Never again with Credit Unions, even if they ARE attached to the largest Movie/Music label on earth. Reputable large banks only from now on.

Re: CaPRC match at Angeles 7/11/10
Thanks again to Randall, Brad, Ryan and James for putting together a fun match and for RSOing.
Literally had a blast!!
Learned a few thing today:
1. need to work on holdovers
2.need to shoot at paper at 300+ yards. shooting range steel at 300 is "close but not close enough"
3. need to practice more offhand, more so if you're lefty shooter shooting a righty gun...
4. would never of thought that shooting at 25 yards that my 100 yd zero would actually be a little high. I thought it would the same.

My rifle has won the past 3 monthly matches....
It will be for rent next month for $150 including ammo and coaching for anyone looking to take home a medal :ugeek:
On a serious note.. good shooting today guys! Some guys had bad days and others did better then expected.
Still scratching my head trying to figure out how you guys let G-pa and Kurtis take home 2nd and 3rd???!!!

I wasn't allowed to shoot today

I can't give all the credit to the shooter though seeing as how the rifle is developing a nice little streak
i will take some credit as the crew chief though since i prepped the dope and loaded the rounds lol
