The glass is nice.
I don't like the knobs.
Too stiff.

It was shooting 1/10 mil right all day so perhaps you need to check your zero or maybe it's shifting...

Last time i zeroed it I was shooting South. During last months match shooting North i noticed the windage shifted and i made an adjustment to my windage knob during the stage to bring it closer and i haven't touched it since. It was kind of an "on the fly" zero so i'm sure it needs a little tweaking. All the boards were shot up after the match today so i didn't get a chance to check it.

I honestly think there is a shift in windage between my home range which faces south and all the ranges we typically shoot at which are mostly north-ish

The best part of the match is seeng Kurtis come in 3rd with his new rifle after bitching at me for 2 days that it's not accurate.
I guess it's accurate enough...

I think he was the only shooter to clear his 200yd hostage target. His shots weren't quite as tight as Randall's BUT he got all his points. He just likes crying because hes a pretty little princess. Randall, can you change his title from sling user to Princess?

There is a difference due to coroilis.
The most extreme change will be from a north zero shooting south and vice versa.
There will be a much smaller zero shift from an east zero shooting west or vice versa.
East/west wll show as an elevation change, but will be much closer than a north/south windage shift.

I found this same thing and it's the reason I always make an effort to zero in the proper direction before an out-of-town match.

If you check out the "places we shoot" thread, the direction of the range is logged for exactly this reason!

I want to thank Kurtis for donating some of his points to me on Stage 6 and still having enough left over to come in 3rd.

I'm glad to hear that everything went well and everyone had a great time. I'm so disappointed I couldn't attend. My bank's customer service department is getting an epic ass chewing this morning for screwing the pooch on this one. Ahh well, there is always next time I guess. Too bad really, reading the AAR the course of fire sounds like a lot of fun.

Lesson learned indeed. I guess I should stop joking about burying money in my backyard to save for a nicer scope and start doing it, that way I have an emergency slush fund I can tap into in times of crisis ... such as needing gas money / match fees for a monthly competition :)

I must have used my debit card 10 times for fuel over the past two days riding between LA, Victimville, Vegas, and Lake Mead...
On the way home I decided to make a detour to Ridgecrest. I'm almost out of fuel. It's 10 pm and my debit card is on "Fraud Alert".
Now what? I can't even buy drinks at the bar!
So I call BofA. Conveniently, their system will unlock my card at 2am the following morning.. You think I made it in time for last call??

Never spend the last 100 bucks in your wallet on party time in Vegas.
I have a $20 bill and 4 quarters in the little zipper pouch that hangs under the seat of my bicycle.
$20 will buy you a tube if you use up the one you carry and need a 2nd one.
The 4 quarters will work a pay phone when the cell phone falls out of your pocket.
I'm pretty sure there is a $20 bill in the toolkit on each of my motorcycles as well.

I should take some cash out of my account right now to pay for gunsmithing then ASAP. That way I will be ready to jump at the opportunity when you have some time free to do some work Randall just in case I'm unable to access my account again haha :D

Good to know. Monday and, Weds & Friday evenings are the easiest during the week, and I can be available anytime on a weekend (starting from the minute I finish this post in fact). I'm willing to make time anytime during the evenings on weekdays and anytime on a weekend to get the work done.

So yeah, anytime in the afternoon or evening this weekend would be great either the 17th or 18th or the following weekend.

Due to the nature of our work, light duty is not an option in our department...We do not allow the nurses or nursing attendants to return to work until they are returned to full duty...As such, we have a nurse thats been out since December (last time I saw her we were at a karoke club and she was singing and dancing the night away..and we had a CNA that was off work for over 2 or 3 years...(after a while, you forget that they even work in the department and when they return, they need re-orientation....)
