CaPRC match at Angeles 12/12/10

The California Precision Rifle Club is proud to announce that our next match will be December 12th at the Angeles Ranges.

Signups start at 8:00am and shooting should start at 9:15am when the line goes hot.
Please arrive at the left side of the Angeles rifle range no later than 8:30am to complete your waivers, sign-in and get assigned your shooters number.
Your shooters number is also your position on the line so please lineup accordingly.

The $25 match fee includes the match as well as use of the range after the match is completed.
We usually try to finish by 1pm.
Bring 60 rounds of match grade ammo.
Be prepared to shoot as close as 10yds and as far as 600yds.
Be prepared to shoot from standing, kneeling, seated, prone and other improvised postions.

This match is open to bolt action and semi-auto rifles from 223 up through 308.
A velocity limit of 3100 fps will be in effect to reduce damage to club-owned steel targets.
Bipods, slings, shooting mats and rear bags are allowed and recommended.
Chamber flags are mandatory. If you don't have one, purchase one at the range or make something yourself.
This match is very "new precision rifle shooter" friendly so bring out your rig and see what it can do.

Please RSVP by posting something very definite in this thread such as "I am in" or "I will be there".
I will not accept "if...", "I would like to go" or "I might go" as an RSVP.

We need to know how many are coming so we can design our course of fire to suit the attendence level and still finish in time.
We are going to cap this at 24 shooters.
If you RSVP and later figure out that you can't come, please post that as well so we can keep the RSVP list current.

Man i'm so out of my loop. I haven't dry fired in months. I feel very sloppy and no where near the top of my potential game. Plus i'll be shooting a 260 that shoots no better then mine and a set up that im not used to. I'm only taking him up on the offer for trigger time and to get some time behind something different to broaden my experience using different equipment. In short.... I'm really gonna suck man!! lol

Might as well just participate. Most of us are beginners trying to learn a thing or two and this is the only real way to get better during matches.

Let me take a crack at Jame's tale of whoa...

I haven't shot a match since February's 2010 TPRC since I mostly run the line at PBR (helps on the way for 2011). I don't feel, I know I am out of shape, no where near the bottom of whatever game I thought I had and in a condensed form I don't suck, I just think I will crawl into the fetal position and pop rounds down range until I run out. Man, I am starting to sound like LV when he said he was all washed up some years back. Man, Is this how being a loser feels?

I almost feel like calling him back and apologizing for all the nice things I said....Doh...

Ok if I don't get called out to work I plan on coming up since we have no shoot in December and check it out. I hear good things up that way have come, very good. Whether or not I hit a target is another story. I'll see if I can get Scotto and Brandon to come out. Now don't be putting on any Mark stages, 1/4 MOA while standing on one leg crap. I want 4 foot by 6 foot targets with unlimited rounds, no mag change and 1 hour par times. Does the range serve any cafe latte'....
