CaPRC match at Angeles 3/13/11

The California Precision Rifle Club is proud to announce that our next match will be Sunday March 13th at the Angeles Ranges.

Signups start at 8:00am and shooting should start at 9:15am when the line goes hot.
Please arrive at the left side of the Angeles rifle range no later than 8:30am to complete your waivers, sign-in and get assigned your shooter numbers.
Your shooters number is also your position on the line so please lineup accordingly.

Due to popular request, this match will include more steel stages and shooting positions that challenge the shooter more than our past matches.
There will be no 100yd paper stages.
There will be no prep periods.
All stages will start standing with the rifle at port-arms.

This will be the third match of out 2011 points series.
Full details about the points series will be available once we finalize them, but there will be awards at the end of the year as well as some really nice prizes.

Match fee is $20 for Caprc members or $30 for non members.
The match fee also includes use of the range after the match is completed.
We usually try to finish by 1pm.
Bring 50 rounds of match grade ammo.
Be prepared to shoot as close as 10yds and as far as 600yds.
Be prepared to shoot from standing, kneeling, seated, prone and other improvised postions.

This match is open to bolt action and semi-auto rifles from 223 up through 308.
A velocity limit of 3100 fps will be in effect to reduce damage to club-owned steel targets.
Bipods, slings, shooting mats and rear bags are allowed and recommended.
Chamber flags are mandatory and are available from the club if needed.

Line helper and board member RSVP's will be accepted anytime.
Member RSVP's will be accepted after 12 noon on Monday March 7th.
Non-Member RSVP's will be accepted after 12 noon on Tuesday March 8th.
RSVP's posted before those times will be ignored.

Please RSVP by posting something very definite in this thread such as "I am in" or "I will be there" as we will ignore "maybe" or "if" RSVP's.

We need to know how many are coming so we can design our course of fire to suit the attendence level and still finish in time.
We are going to cap this at 30 shooters.
If you RSVP and later figure out that you can't come, please post that as well so we can keep the RSVP list current and move people up from the waiting list.

Does port-arms include any stages with the roof? Would that be safe?

You tell them to move at a safe speed.
If anyone does anything unsafe, they won't be staying around.
Different people are safe at different speeds.
It's up to them to determine what their safe speed is.
