April LR Match Results *New Club Record with 62 shooters*

Post by vu308 »

Thank you everyone for coming out today. What a beauitful day to shoot and have a lil BBQ. Thank you to Vic and Jay's lovely wife Jeannette for cooking.

Congrats to Mr. Dennis Lorenzo for taking home the win! D-Lo called it in the AM and said he was going to start getting ready for TBRC.

Winds were 10 to 12, and very switchy. I know I was lost from 800 on back. An epic fail of like 17 misses. That is NOT going to get the job done as you can tell in my standings.

A huge thanks on the behalf of Tony and his guys with the 1/5 SS platoon. With everyone chipping in, I think the final count is around 1800.00!!! Jacob and I will start shopping this week and hopefully get the first shipment going out early next week. I know they will appreciate our efforts over seas.

Thank you to all the MDs, ROs, and pit bosses. We had A LOT of folks online and everything ran smoothly.

Vu, bro! I know I suck but at least give me the 6x's I shot to make me feel better instead of a fat 0 haha. Man I had like 15 misses between 800-1k. Your wind is crazy out there. Us SoCal boys aren't to savvy with those wind calls when we're used to shooting 600yds max with no wind

You guys impressed me again. Your matches are run so profesional and fun. Its really great to get in the middle of all the great trigger pullers that come to your guys line and see how you stack up against them. Even if it is at the bottom of the stack haha!!

Btw.....wind sucks!! :)

James,

Good times this weekend man. Glad you guys were able to make it up.

Score has been fixed. I would trade you my Xs for your sore any day. I got OWNED yesterday at 800 to 1K.

Ahh yes, the picture of Mr. Randall: CAPRC President watering our 1K Impact berm.....too bad he didn't realize there were ladies in our pits as well. We know you don't interact with females often Randall, but most of them are not turned on by peeing infront of them. Probably wouln't hurt to walk another 25 yards to the blue rooms or behind the trucks.

As for the bullshit on our practice day......that's a whole new level of being an ass clown there. We'll be addressing that whole episode shortly.

Much appreciated Kurtis. We had 48 shooters at practice, some of which I do not know. It's not that I am worried about being watched because we are doing something wrong out there, but we can not have someone going off over some bullshit.

We all bust each other’s balls, but acting a fool on the firing line, with a rifle in your hands is unacceptable.

You did leave the door adjoining our rooms unlocked so it's not like it was very difficult to turn the doorknob and walk in...
It was only your luck that the front desk put us in the room next to yours.
When you guys left your room, we had not yet been assigned the room next door to you yet...

You know, you are lucky it was brad and I next door because it could have been total strangers walking into your unattended room and messing with your stuff.
Lesson to be learned: when you leave gear in your hotel room, lock the door to the room next-door.

Im pretty sure he and everyone else would agree you don't fuck with a mans rifle in a hotel room either...

We never unlocked the door so never thought to lock it. In fact i don't remember noticing that there was a door there until Kurtis was trying to put himself through it.

You're car being at the range is 0 excuse for acting like a complete idiot on our firing line. Breaking into someone's hotel room and stealing all their kit is completely over the line. If someone pulled that stunt with me, the outcome would be a lil more severe than what Kurtis served up.

You were the aggressor when you got your panties wadded up because someone decided to give you a taste of your own medicine. You went go ape shit yelling at someone like you wanted to fight on the firing line while holding a rifle. WTF were you thinking?

Was Kurtis wrong for messing with your rig at the range? YUP, sure was. We'll be addressing that as well. However, you wanted to start bullshit by jacking their kit the night before. A good ole saying goes "don't start none, won't be none" comes to mind here. Don't be a jack ass and play pranks when you can't take al lil bit of your own medicine. At least you knew where your bolt was instead of thinking your rifle was stolen.

Thank you CAPRC for an awesome weekend, now our BoD get to figure out a new SOPs for idiots on the firing line. In the 6 years our club has been around, with hundreds of shooters going through each year at matches, we have yet to have someone go full retard like that.

The wind was hell to shoot in. Making sure to catch the wind changes was really important. Being able to catch the wind changes was another story.

It was too bad Charlie and Ryan didn't make it. There were all sorts of fun and shenanigans that went on this weekend.
Randall and Brad stole ALL of our gear out of the hotel room on Friday night, so Joe, James and Myself stole the bolts out of their guns before practice on Saturday.
Can't laugh too much though. The antics on Saturday caused a little bit of drama

Here's another one of our shooters... You can see what he's doing. You can't hear the applause or the RO's yelling at him though.

So is fair to say Randall was PISSed....?

You're right, however I also have the wishes of my fellow board members to take into account when dealing with club matters. They wished that I address the situation and decisions privately with the two parties involved.

If they wish to make it public, that's on them.

LOL...that is pretty funny.

It's all fun and games until someone gets butt hurt though. Most guys are pretty sensitive about their firearms......

We didn't even mess with Ryan's rig when he LEFT it at the range a few years back. All we did was put a few rocks in his pack to carry a lil bit of NorCal home with him.

Some people put tape, etc. at that spot to keep brass from making marks on the receiver as its extracted.

Brass does not bounce so far away if it hits something soft rather than the metal receiver. It makes it easier to keep brass closer to rifle. That is why I have it there. I do not use it for cosmetic reasons and I am not worried by scratches as you can see by my brand new scope that has already been scuffed up.

It does not matter what side the rings bolts are on if the rifle functions....
True.
The main reason to have the nuts towards the shooter (left side for eighties and right side for lefties) is so that you can paint a witness mark across the nut and bolt.
Being on the shooters side of the gun makes it easier to notice the broken witnessmark if the nut loosens.
God shoots a Remington 700, drives a Chevy Truck and carries a Glock 19.
I don't do any of those things.

I put my ring bolts on the opposite side so that they dont interfere with my loading hand if i need to single load or look into the port....
