12/14/14 CAPRC Match

The California Precision Rifle Club is proud to announce their next centerfire match will be Sunday December 14th at the Angeles Ranges.

Signups start at 7:30am and shooting should start at 8:15am when the line goes hot.
Please arrive at the left side of the Angeles rifle range no later than 7:45am to sign-in and get assigned your shooter numbers.
Your shooters number is also your position on the line so please lineup accordingly.

Match fee is $10 for Caprc members or $30 for non members.
The match fee also includes use of the range after the match is completed.
We usually finish by 1pm.
Bring 70 rounds of match grade ammo.
Be prepared to shoot as close as 10yds and as far as 600yds.
Be prepared to shoot from standing, kneeling, seated, prone and other improvised positions.
Bring a backpack to shoot off of for stages that don't allow a bipod.

This match is open to bolt action and semi-auto rifles from 223 up through 308.
A velocity limit of 3100 fps will be in effect to reduce damage to club-owned steel targets.
Bipods, slings, shooting mats and rear bags are allowed and recommended.
Chamber flags are mandatory and are available from the club if needed.

Line helper RSVP's will be accepted anytime.
Member RSVP's will be accepted anytime.
Non-member RSVP's will be accepted anytime.

Please RSVP by posting "I am in" or "I will be there" as we will ignore "maybe" or "if" RSVP's.
If you RSVP and later figure out that you can't come, please post that as well so we can keep the RSVP list current.

Does anybody have any good ideas for a barricade made out of steel tubing? I was thinking something like the fences at the Voight match.

Last time I heard, your car was a POS...... Then your car gets wrecked.....Sounds suspiciously like an insurance claim...... Congratulations!

If only that were the case! I don't have comprehensive insurance! Accident was my fault, so I screwed the pooch. My car got towed to the body shop, then after that it goes to a mechanic, didn't pass smog check so I'm unable to get my reg. sticker!

Sadly I wont be able to get a new car for sometime =(

It was a good turnout today. We had 22 shooters. Thanks Randall, Brad and Rich for a great match. Bruce took home 2nd place and top 308, nice shooting

Congrats to the winners, you guys did great! I sure had a lot of fun. I cleaned a couple stages, but yet again I screwed up the pool ball stage, I didn't download my second mag and sent 10 shots out, so I gave myself 0 points, even though I already knew I hit all the solid balls. Did decent on most of the other stages though except the seated one (didn't game it and I even brought my gaming gear). There is something to be said for reading the course of fire over several times, I should try that next time.

It was a good turnout this weekend for sure! It was great to see new guys out there on the line, and some old faces that haven't been around in a while!

Great shooting everybody. Danny Great job! Solid run man!

And Bruce, awesome performance buddy! Glad to see you are applying all that you have learned to pull in a sweet 2nd and top .308!

Hi Rudy, you should maybe post your question in the new members area under the off-topic heading. That being said it is $50 per year, so if you post over there the club leadership should get back to you. You can also pm randall (ar15barrels) or keith (oni), and perhaps a few others. If you go to a match or clinic you can sign up there.
