Congrats to Shooter65
Mark pulled a third place finish at the DM 600 yard night shoot last night. I believe he also ended up with one of the smallest groups. It was a good time and a hell of a lot colder than you would expect when it was triple digits just two days before. Nice shooting, man.

We missed you for sure. Next time make sure to speak up. I moved from the second to the third relay leaving an open spot on the second relay that we could have put you in.

Some pictures from yesterday. I also have a video that I will post a little later.

I have a few more pictures with some shooters and I didn’t want to post them because maybe some shooters don’t want to be posted on the net. But if you guys think that it’s OK I will post them.

I used the lit reticle on my NF for the first time last night. Was MUCH better than not having one imo.

I shot a 10 and two x's for my sighters, a 48 in my first string and then 8 of the remaining 15 rounds decided not to go off. All light strikes and even a second and third hit wouldn't set them off. This happened in two different primer brands. I took the dented primers and put them in some 308 cases this morning and they went bang, no problem.AR15barrels wrote:

Somebody told me that the stock remy has a light firing pin spring and that you should change it out... What do you guys think about that... I was having the same problem Chris and I figured out that I was using primmers meant for full auto weapons so they are extra hard to avoid slam fires

Mine's an aftermarket bolt. Glen at Defiance seems to think it's the Timney trigger. I ordered up a Jewell and he's going to take a look at the bolt.Gnzrme wrote:Somebody told me that the stock remy has a light firing pin spring and that you should change it out... That does not make sense.hill billy wrote: Mine's an aftermarket bolt. Glen at Defiance seems to think it's the Timney trigger. I ordered up a Jewell and he's going to take a look at the bolt.
Once the trigger is pulled, the cocking piece slides over the top of it.
If the trigger was a problem, you should be able to look down at the sear and see a big bump where the cocking piece had been bottoming out on the sear instead of inside the bolt.
Take a look at the sear with the bolt removed from the receiver and post a picture of what you see.

I have a Timney trigger as well... I still occassionaly get light strikes.. I had Randy Cain check out my firing pin and it was too short so he changed it out... But it still will do it, but sometimes I do seat primmers too deep since I am using a 650

Lock time changes WHEN ignition occurs.
You are having ignition failures.

I'm failing to make the connection between lock time and ignition failure. By bolt action rifle standards the Mauser M98 has one of the slowest lock times on record but it's also one of the most reliable ignition systems......hill billy wrote: I'm not arguing since I don't know but Glen seems to think it's a problem with lock time.
Are you certain your bolt doesn't have a lightened FP & spring? By your photo, your trigger doesn't appear to be the problem. Don't think buying a Jewel is money well spent in diagnosing this issue.

I don't know but I sent it to Glen to sort out. As for the trigger, I don't really care for the wide Timney anyway. The Jewell is much more to my liking.buffybuster wrote:
