Absolutely. I've never been there, so having somebody that knows the way certainly can't hurt.264Charlie wrote:Conner, you want to carpool?

So what is the typical F class course of fire? prone 600yd paper targets? 20 shots for score?

Re: 600yd F Class August 15th?
A typical course of fire is 3 strings of 20 rounds each plus sighters. Usually 22 minutes per string. If you're not shooting then you're either spotting and scoring for a shooter on the line or in the pits marking the targets.
The match director might shorten the course of fire to 2x25 to speed things up a bit. We'll see how it goes.
Items to bring to the match:
Rifle
Bipod or rest
Enough ammo
Prone mat
Spotting scope ( we can share these)
Eye and ear protection ( you will need these in the pits also)
Water and snacks
Sunscreen
Hat
Stool
Pen
For those of you that have never done pit duty, please watch the videos that Jon Ocab put together on pulling targets.
Make sure you watch all three parts.

Re: 600yd F Class August 15th?
This is the latest email from the Match Director. It will be a 2x25 (50 rounds plus sighters).
3 relays of 7 shooters.
He's limiting entries to 21 shooters, so get there early!
I'm going to let him know that there will be 10 shooters from CaPRC.
"Greetings,
We will be holding a modified Mid-range match on the 15th of August.
The course of fire will be 2 strings of 25 rounds each with unlimited
sighters. In addition to shooting, you will be required to score and
serve in the pits. It should be a good day, we will provide easy-ups,
but it will still be hot so bring plenty of water to drink.
Sign-ups: 0715 to 0745.
Fees: 10.00 for members, 15 for nonmembers.
We will have to limit the match to 21 shooters, so give me a heads up
ASAP
Thanks
Guzman"
